About Tiny Desk AI

This is a small independent studio built around one fixed performance: a 19-second vertical clip of a band playing “Outstanding”, the format that became the Outstanding Tiny Desk meme. You put faces you own into it. That is the whole product.

Why this clip

It is short and readable even on mute: four hard cuts, one wide band shot, one close-up that carries the whole joke, a sax solo and a return to the band. Music and framing are already perfect, so there is nothing for a generator to invent. Everything that can go wrong is about identity — which is exactly what we tuned for. What we are not

We are not NPR, the Tiny Desk concert series, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, or any label. We are not a deepfake service for disguising people. Output is labelled AI-generated and meant for personal, non-commercial posts. Photos of public figures and photos without consent are prohibited. Read the terms if you want the rules in one place.

How a video gets made

You sign in with email and password, buy credits (no free trial; failed renders refund), add one portrait per seat, and render in the browser. Each of the five shots is generated separately with a reference-video model, then stitched back on the original hard cuts and muxed with the original audio. There is a longer walkthrough in How to make a Tiny Desk AI video.

Limits we will not paper over

A blurred selfie will not become a sharp close-up. A person standing at the edge of a wide shot is harder to replace than the person in the close-up. The band's instruments, clothes and hair are inherited from the reference, not invented for you. If a render misses, it is a failed render and the credits come back.
